Jake Sippy is a candidate to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the university Honors Program in the Spring of '06.  In the last four years he has been active in the university's student chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects as a class representative and program coordinator.  He was awarded the 2006 Gerard Paul Monger Honor Senior Award, an ASLA National Award, and the 2002 "Outstanding Volunteer" Award from CSU Resources for Disabled Students. 

Last summer, Jake was one of fourteen landscape architecture students selected, out of more than two hundred international applicants, for a, internship at Design Workshop.  He has since enjoyed working there on a part-time basis, and will be joing the firm full-time upon his graduation. 

Jake is particularly interested in designing places that are ecologically, culturally and artistically inspired, yet economically and socially sensitive.
