Mike T. Kintgen was elected to Pi Alpha Xi in 2002 and was an officer throughout 2003. He was actively involved in all of the society's activities and spear-headed numerous fund raising activities. He participated in CSU's team for the ALCA Career Days for three years and placed second in woody plants and third in herbaceous plants nationally in 2002. He also was a team member on the CSU Intercollegiate Flower Judging Team which placed fifth nationally in 2003.
Mike is active in the North American Rock Garden Society, Rocky Mountain Chapter. He also belongs to the Colorado Native Plant Society, Colorado Cactus and Succulent Society and the American Conifer Society.
Mike graduated in December 2003 with a degree in Landscape Horticulture and a minor in Spanish in 3 1/2 years with a grade point of 3.71. He is applying to graduate school at U.C.- Davis for fall of 2004.
