Landscape Horticulture
Outstanding Senior of the Year, 2002-03

Grant Johnson
  Grant Johnson is a Landscape Horticulture major in the Turfgrass Management concentration and has a 3.81 grade point average. He served as the vice-president of the Turf Club, the student representative to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Agricultural Council in the College of Agricultural Sciences. He also participates in the Horticultural Honor Society, Pi Alpha Xi, and has helped with numerous outreach activities with the society.

Grant is the recipient of the 2002 Jackie Butler Scholarship and received the L. Johnson Scholarship from the Rocky Mountain Turfgrass Foundation. He conducted two successful internships at Fort Collins Country Club and Izatys Golf and Yacht Club. Both superintendents praised him for his diligence and dependability.

Grant will graduate in May 2003. He has applied to the graduate program in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. He is preparing himself to make significant contributions to the landscape horticulture profession.
